ok guys, i changed over to manual brakes due to the cam in my new motor. My truck is a 92 ext cab, no ABS. I was wondering id anyone knew what the computer looking thing is hanging in the side of the master cylinder? Can i unhook it and getrid of it? does it control anything? Also who makes good fiberglass parts for these trucks? mostly Im looking for fiberglass fenders, bumper, and bed parts. Also i was on racing junk and found a guy that makes complete lexan kits for 1st gen S10\'s Email him at Nitro63@aol.com if you have any questions, great prices and a great guy. One last question is i have the as sent of my truck monoleafed with 3\" drop springs in the front. What is a set of tricksprings i could switch to?

WOW 21 questions! I can answer a few but ... Ya Know. The computer thing on the side of the master is ther rear ABS computer. You can unhook it if you want. You could leave it hooked up. It won\'t hurt your manual brakes at all. As long as you didn\'t remove any pieces that work with the abs. Like the the tone ring or pick-up. it will still work.
Sorry no info on light parts like fiberglass or lexan. As for the trick suspension parts, its alll acroding to what your goal is. You can buy drag springs and shocks witch wil help you get off the line Or you can buy lowering shocks and springs and just ride \'lower\'
Space.

ok so the computer can go? ive swaped rear and there is no rear ABS now. I will probally get rid of it to clean up the engine compartment and get rid of the wiring. Im looking for drag spring but i dont know which ones to get. I have the lowering springs not with dragshocks.

there are two types of springs short heavy windings that will make your truck sit low and drive very harsh, oh yah and spin tires because of no weight transfer. and then you have your drag springs which are twice as long and very small windings. they are alot harder to install and get the correct height you desire, but when you hit the lung pedal , boy does the frontend lift 10\" and your budies start screaming.
