New to this! Need info asap!

(Sorry if this is in the wrong forum!) I just blew the motor in my 98 x-cab and i was wondering if someone could actually list for me the things i will need to get this swap done. Thanks in advance!

since your new and this has been gone through a jillion times you might want to search the forums and order the jtr book through this site.

what combo do you plan on goin with? Carb motor with a th-350 or fuel injection with a computer controlled trans or?. give us some more info on your plans or what you are thinkin about

put in \"swap list\" in the search box and read through some old posts and good luck. It is not that no one wants to help but you need to do a little research first too. this question gets asked alot here.

Go to the parts page (upper right corner in red) You can find kits there for the swap, but like others have said before, What are your plans? Carbed SBC, Fuel Injected? TPI, TBI? Maybe LS1 or LS2? Big Block? Do you want headers or manifolds? Are you looking for a daily driver? Or a weekend warrior? Or pure drag?

Manual tranny or Automatic? 3, 4, 5, 6 speed?



Just answer a few questions for the most help. But If you want to do a \"simple swap\" Buy a kit that includes the motor mounts, manual, headers, radiator.

I was thinkin maybe LT1/w 6-spd tranny. I know I need the computer, the harness, the mounts, a radiator, and a new rear axle. I need help on which rear axle and any extras I may have left out. Thanks guys
