Hello All, quick question? I have a 1990 s-10 with a 700r and need to know what I need to wire to get the speed sensor to work. The truck has no computer at all. Not my truck a customers I\'m trying to clean the wiring up alittle. I have the two wires that run to the speed sensor on the tranny but it doesn\'t seem to work Thanks in advance Bob

I don\'t know how the 700R/4L60E\'s are but, the manual NV3500\'s started using VSS\'s in 1988, just a small sensor at the back of the tranny with a two wire prong. One gets grounded and the other single wire is fed to the electric speedo input. Simple as that with no computer needed. Don\'t know if that\'s applicable to the 4L60 though...

When the computer was removed did they also remove the DRAC module. This reads the signal received from the Transmission does the conversion and send the speed signal to the speedo. Hope this helps
