No less than 3000. For a streetable converter i would get a 3200 lock-up style converter. Race only....4000 non-lockup

according to my jegs catolog the rpm range for that cam is 2500-6500 so i would go with a 2500 stall or even a 3000 stall that will get your launch into the cam rpm good luck

In my opion this is a subject that is best left to the experts. They know what they\'re doing.

Call more than one company and give them all the information they ask for. Then decide which company and stall to go with.

If you pick one based on all of us here you might get the wrong one and might not get everything out of your motor and rear end gears. Not to mention suspension and tranny.

Stall speed is based on your engine torque and not just the diameter of the convertor.

Each engine will have a different stall speed with the same size convertor. Put the same one behind a small block and the a big block....different stall speeds.

I don\'t mean to dis anyone here...but this is one area that is probably best left to the people that get paid to tell us what we need to know. It is a sience! (can\'t spell LOL)

i have used the comp cams 292h,according to comp they want you to use10-11:1 in a 355 good heads, victor jr. 750 d.p,3000+ stall and 4.11 gears,t350 trans with a 28x10sticky tire to get the max from this cam and combo,my \'72el camino ran very consistant 12.20s at 15\' above sea level at3680lbs.so use this in a 10 you should be able to run mid-hi 11s,TRACTION permitting, blazer will be a lil slower of course!
