Looks like a sick set up for a Gen III. Id think you could just run an external coil and like an ignition box. Like a MSD 6AL or something.

I like being able to tune stuff myself, and not everyone has access to popular F-body dyno/tuning facilities.

Just one more reason for me to run a carbed 6.0L in the near future.

Yeah I see what you are saying. But with the cost of all the stuff for a Gen III and the like, To me its just kind of pointless to run it without the EFI. It would just be cheaper and easier to put together a carbed 1st gen. Thats just my opinion though. Its just that if I would get a 6.0 I would want it for the EFI and everything.

wow, a chevy dist. on the front of the engine. im my opinion that was one of the best ideas ford ever had. wouldnt waste it though.

although that is kindof a waste of money. i would NEVER waste my time or money converting back to carburated. EFI is million times better.

Thats fine, but IMO carbs just easier. I dont have $200+ a pop getting the motor tuned each time I do something.

Upgrading the heads, cam, nitrous, turbo, etc. Buying bigger injectors, throttle body, $900 for the FAST 90MM intake....

Stock EFI\'s fine if your making a driver out of it, with like 400 HP.

yea, its easyer for weekend/backyard guys. i get all into the efi shit though. sooo much more efficent and you can make gobbs of power pounding on a keyboard if you know what you are doing. i dont see the point in converting the ls motors over to caburated though. with the stock harness/ecm you can do alot.
