Just wondering if anyone on the board here has a tonneau cover by checkmate? They look sweet!CheckMate (http://www.checkerpro.com/index.html)

Either a flush hard, or flush soft. I\'ve currently got a covercraft one that\'s only 2.5 yrs old and it\'s already falling apart. It sucks. I\'m contemplating maybe getting one from checkmate next spring, therefore i\'d like to get some feeback from anyone that is using their product.

Thanks

I havent had a checkmate, but I have had two fiberglass flush mount tonneaus and the hard ones are way better than a soft one IMO.

They look so clean! I liked having my first one so much that I didnt have my new truck 2 days before I ordered a new one.

My buddy had a checkmate and told me he liked his a lot, but I went with the same company that I had bought my first one from anyways.

Take a quick look at these pics, its basically the same design as the checkmate I think.

Hey, thanks for the feedback

What kind did you buy?

Did you paint yours black, or did it come that way?

i have a flush mount fiberglass cover, don\'t know who made it but it is really nice. The only thing i do not like about it is that it does not seal all the way, and it doesn\'t open very high. Mostly for looks on my truck anyway.

Its a Fastback II, I think black is the only color it comes in. I never check the seal, because like he said, its for looks. I dont put anything in my bed if I dont have to.

Anyways, here is a link to the best/cheapest place to buy them.

I have the hinged Checkmate flush mount soft cover. Overall, I like it. It was cheap and I can lift it up to get to the fuel cell. The springs aren\'t too strong, though, so a stiff wind will drop it sometimes at shows and stuff. Durability wise, I don\'t drive the truck enough to know for sure. It looks like the edges might wear through prematurely, but then again, it might be just fine.

thanks for the feedback on this guys.

If you remember to Jeffyboy, post back and let me know what you think of the durability after you\'ve had it a month or two. If I get one, i won\'t be getting one until March or April anyways.

Cheers!

I\'ve had it almost 2 years already - I just don\'t expose it to daily-driver like abuse, which is why I didn\'t want to go as far as to call it sturdy.

I have a checkmate soft cover. Its about 5 years old and still in pretty good shape. I kept my truck outside for 2 years now its stored in the garage.

For outdoor use, its not that sturdy for snow and heavy rain. I had to make sure that water would run off or accept the fact that I now had a bird bath in my truck\'s bed (if you know what I mean).

Other than that... I like it. I like the flush look, its light weight and the price is fair. Oh yeah, you do have to assembly it, but its not to bad.
