Got a friend who wants me to help put together a 67 nova. He is talking about a motown engine. Any of you guys ever had any dealings with Bill Mitchell engines?

I\'m currently using a world block for my s10, it\'s a good block the motors are nice and worth the money though

World block vs. Dart block?
...... It was my goal to build myself a new engine this winter. I want a big bore SB, maybe like 400-427 cu.in. range. I figured by the time I found a 400 block, did a ton of machine work, I\'d be at least halfway to the cost of a World or Dart block. ($2K +/-) ya think? Problem is, winter is more than half over, and I\'ve been so busy, I haven\'t done squat.
......... Anyway, on the outside chance I do something soon, does anyone have opinions on the pros & cons of either (basic) block?

you do know that world/dart was the same company at one time? you know like chevy/GMC. they are from the same cast. i have heard a few ford guys say some bad things but never heard anything bad on the chevy end.

From my undestanding-bill Mitchell was the founder of dart heads-then he moved on to doing complete engines.
