what gears do i have??

ok so i went out in the glove box today to read the codes and see what gears i have in my rear. im kinda confused in the second row second number down theres a GQ1 (3.73\'s) and then in the third row second number down theres CU6 (3.42\'s). does any one no what number it would be?? If it helps its a 92 ext cab s-10 had a 2.8 wit a 5 speed. thanks Joe

was that a type-0 or not GU6 is 3.42 not CU6 if so this may have soved the problem if not i dont know: all gear codes start with a G according to my sourse good luck i guess im saying 3.73s also

GU4 is a 3.42 and GT4 is a 3.73 ratio.

yea i no but it has both those numbers on that lil code lable in the golve box so what one do i use???

do the old turn of tire to turn of driveshaft. or yank the rear cover and do the math from the numbers stamped on the ring as far as the glove box numbers not to sure about that.

i always use the first idea. But dont forget posi you just count the driveshaft revolutios but for open rear put one tire on the ground and divide by 2.
