I have a 90 model longbed with a auto trans and I want to put in a v8 with a five speed.

I have tons of info on the engine swap but I am having a hard time finding info on the trans swap.

Other than installing a clutch pedal and master cylinder How much of a pain is it?

Will the steering column out of a 89 Camaro fit in the s-10. Please reply with any info if you can help... Thanks...... Dave

As for the Camaro steering column, I don\'t know, I wouldn\'t think so though. As for the rest of the swap, its not bad, at least not as bad as you might think. The biggest pain for me was finding what I needed at the yard. Manual S10s and blazers are fairly common though. If you have a 90 Sonoma, you can pretty much use the same pedal assy. and hydraulic system out of any S10 or S-Blazer that had one. Just remember the clutch/brake pedal assemblies are different between brakes and power brakes. Other than the tearing the dash and steering apart, the rest of the swap wasn\'t much of a pain at all.
