I dont have posi but i was thinking when i will be using my 12\" slicks the tires might have too much traction for the hp and not spin one tire? Might work right? But the burnout will still be one tire http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif

i had a stock rear, open diff. and i ran 10\" slicks.. i heated them up at the line no problem.. and.. i launched it.. it wouldnt launch for $*it.. tires broke loose.. and i even burned em shifting into second. I have movies of it.. not sure if i uploaded them on here.. if you wanna see how it reacted.. ill be more than happy to upload em. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

with the right amount of preload and weight transfer an open diff will act like a posi, as long as both tires have the same amount of traction it\'ll turn both tires

just be carefull open diffs have nasty habits when you use large tire sizes but Ive know quite a few people who have gotten away with it.

try this.....big tire(10.5 or bigger)+ open gears+power=you crying when it breaks....to big a tire will break the gears and axles before a smaller tire with a lot of power will....that\'s a proven fact...i always have used 28 tall by 10.5 wide slicks ..i have never spun
