Things people will do to make a V6 fast, what a waste of good V8 parts.

While most here will think this is a waste, I have to get the guy credit for being very inventive. You got to think this this is going on a Syclone or Typhoon. Now I for one will not run one of those trucks cuz I know I would get my doors blown off. Most of us probably would not admit it if we got our a$$ kicked by a V-6, but most of us would. They\'re FAST in stock form and usally get some serious tweaking.

So...come on folks give the guy a break and credit him for having the ability to do that to suck a high priced piece.

Just my opion,

Jeff.....

I nuke typhoons all the time of course Ive got my truck down to 2360Lbs with the v8 in it running 450HP.. as for mangling that poor defensless ramjet I have a feeling it\'ll never run right because the height of the intake assembly is just as important as the length and he never calculate for that because if you give your intake too much height and room your going to be feed it to much air and pressure and you get a very bad lean condition and no matter how much fuel the engine dumps in it wont fix it and we all know what happened to that engine.

i found these pics on a different site, i agree that i believe its a waste of time and money, but i give the guy alot of credit, just the effort alone to cut and weld that back together and to make it look factory like it does. I do alot of welding at work and to weld cast aluminum like that and to grind it smooth so it looks pretty, takes alot of talent. This isn\'t sheet metal this is 1/4\'\' thick cast aluminum. I don\'t beleive it will hold together, but i give the guy an...A... for effort. And i believe its for a stock 4.3 S10.

i agree it looked like he know what he was doing and for a modded 4.3 i would think it would be a big help but for a stock engine it probly wouldnt help much he would also have to add more fuel the intake is just for air on the ram jet if i am correct . but still the time he had involved in this he could have done a v8 swap oh well his project at least he (looked ) to be doing it right

I would rather use the money used for that doing another v8.

too much work into something not worth it.

Unique: Yes

Worth the time/effort: No

You wanna explain WTF that means? Too much pressure? Huh? Do you even understand how the height of the intake (or length of the runners) dictates the powerband?
