i have a ford nine inch and im not sure if it is posi or not im gonna open it up i wanna know what it will look like if it is non posi

if it is non posi it will have 4 small spider gears in the middle, with gears on the top and bottom and gears on the side that fit together.

are the spider gears in a case or should they be visible right away when i open it

here is all you have to do to see if its posi. turn one wheel and if the other one turns the same way it is posi. if it turns the other way its is a open differential
