Here is a cool link to figure what your horsepower is on your truck. Its going to seem really really low, as most people think they have 350-400hp in their basicly stock motors. When in reality they have about 225... Oh, and this method of hp calculation has been tested and compared to dyno tests and they were very very close give or take 15-20 hp.
http://www.geocities.com/realstreetpower/
another good sit is key word drag race hp chart or http://www.moparts.com/moparts/tech/pages/hp. click on index at bottom of page gives pretty accurate readings. i have fastburn 385 it was close by 30 hp off motor at 385hp according to gm. it shows 285 at rear.
oh God, posting links to Mopar sites, what has the world gone to?
DOES\'NT MATTER WHERE THE TECH. INFO COMES FROM, IF IT IS GOOD OH GOD MAN USE IT. NOTHING WRONG WITH A MOPAR HAD SEVERAL.

I always thought it was funny that people have a fast burn 385 or a ZZ4 that is rated for 385 or 350 or what ever it may be. Then we put it on a dyno and it makes 300hp.

Anybody know of a site where you can just punch in what has been done to your motor and get a pretty acurate reading on horsepower at the flywheel. All these sites ask for quarter mile times and i have never run mine. Something with what has been done to the motor and weight and gearing and give me a good estimate of what i\'ll run.

Ok buddie i did you a favor.
My own program says that you should make about
317hp@5248 rpm
354lbft@4108 rpm
And an estimated 1/4 mile time 14.23@99.68mph
(i guessed you weight to be about 2850 or so)

No problem...if anyone else wants and \"estimate\" you need to post ALL of your specs. All the way from your carb size to valve size, kind of heads (not brands but are they stock ported, or worlds or fastburns ...etc) tire size...tranny, vehicle weight, suspension set up. etc. etc. etc. And i would be happy to give you an estimate on Hp Tq and 1/4 mile times with MPH.

You sure it weighs 4850....is it an s-10?? They weigh about 2800-3100lbs with a small block in them.
Anyway...here it is
356hp@5000rpm
426tq@3544rpm
With that thing weighing what you say it weighs your E.T\'s are only about 16.6@85.21
Also 3.08 gears with a 29\'\' tall tire it is killing your gearing down to like a 2.72 or so.
Hey lightweight do you think you can give me some numbers. It is a 77 4 bolt main 350 came stock with 210 horsepower. I put a 292,480 lift blue racer cam, holly dominator dual plane intake, edelbrock 600 carb, mildly worked double hump heads not ported though, 2.02, 1.60 valves. 1.6 ratio roller rockers from crane, 1 7/8 hedman shorty headers running into 2.5 inch pipes all the way back through flowmasters. accel hei distributor, cap, and aftermarket accel coil, 8.5 accel wires hooked onto ac delco rapidfire plugs. A 14 inch k and n filter on top of the carb. runs at 160 170 all day. Stock 350 transmission with b and m ratchet shifter. 3.42 limited slip rearend with 295 50 bf goodrich mounted on the ends. It weighs in at around 2900 pounds. Thanks, Lightweight
yeah lightweight I added some heavy duty traction bars to the back and lowered it 2 inches all the way around. Thanks man

And yes anything is better than the stock converter. Like i have said before, if you are going to buy one you may as well get one with at least a 3000 stall. Other wise you\'ll just want a bigger one later. But make sure its a lock up style if your going to drive it on the street.
