hopped up to $2.95/gal reg. today.

exxon ceo is retiring this year on a $700million package and his little company made $32BILLION in PROFITS. i\'m no math wizard, but that seems like an awful lot of money to me.

y\'all might find these interesting:

Exxon Ceo winer (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060419/us_nm/energy_exxon_raymond_dc_1)

Gas Buddy (http://www.gasbuddy.com/)

someone suggested awhile back that if we didn\'t buy anything from Exxon/Mobile, that the price would go down. i don\'t know if that would work but here\'s my own idea, which at nearly $3.00/gal, i\'d really like to do:

instead of boycotting exxon, we all go there, fill up and drive off. it\'s easy to cover up license plates w/o it being noticable and there are so many exxons around, you could hit all of them w/o getting noticed/remembered. i realize that this would hurt the store owners first, but a united effort and all that loss would really send them a clear message.

otherwise, we could pool our money and hire an assassin. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

wish i\'d filled up yesterday.......

a few thoughts - 32 billion in profits thats 32,000,000,000 (with nine - zeros). price gouging anyone?

heres the problem. i hear alot of people saying dont buy from exxon/mobil/etc. go right ahead. go somewhere else. you wont hurt them any. the reason i say this is that if everyone all of a sudden stopped buying from exxon/mobil, i mean the whole country, do you really think either of those companies are all of a sudden gonna have a gigantic surplus of gas laying around? hell no they wont.

even if everyone in the country started going to the mom and pop gas stations tomorrow exxon/mobil is still gonna get rid of their gas, theyll sell it to the mom and pop gas stations. both exxon and mobil are multinational corporations. if they absoloutely cannot get rid of their gas in the united states theyll send it elsewheres.

does anyone else find it funny that the enormous rise in the price of gas coincides with the start of \"driving season\"? watch the news at night. they list 3 different reasons as to why the prices of gas are going up and every one of those reasons is \"thee one defining reason\". it my belief that the gas prices are goin up because the weather is getting nice and people have no choice but to buy gas. its that or dont drive.
