How should i run my exhaust? I am going to be using FLowmaster 50 series mufflers. I was going to dump it at the axle but heard it would be too loud in a blazer. So then i though all the way out the back, but then forgot about that gas tank. Could i run the to the sides of the gas tank? Please give me some information on how i should run my exhaust and still have it half way quiet when driving.

First things first wither join your exhaust together into a 3 inch pipe or make sure theres an H-pipe this will help a lot with your low end torque once thats done run it to the two mufflers side by side on the passanger side mike has some good pictures of this in the gallery under faq/exhaust then run your pipe out from the muffler atleast two feet minimum since you are running a blazer both canada and the US laws state that your exhaust has to come out past the body so you can either jet it out the side at this point or run it over the axle and out the back do not terminate it under the vehicle because the exhaust gasses will go up and find there way into your cab. its different on a pickup because the truck bed is out in the open. if you dont have the tools to bend the pipe and you just can\'t find the right bed to get over your axles use flex hose but if this is your route paint everything with exhaust heat resistant paint so you dont get any rust leaks in the flex. I would recommend to anyone to paint there exhaust it makes for a cleaner look and if you paint it black it hides any parts that may dib a little lower then the frame also makes any nice chrome or stainless steel tips stick out more. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Mine is done just like mike\'s. Look at his pics. That seems to be the best way i\'ve found. Weird thing is that mine was done long before i found this site and the two shops did them the same....Thats gotta say something about whats the best way.

in a blazer you can\'t run it like that... just run it like a dual exhaust setup on most cars... you can run your exhaust out beside the gas tank... or you can put pipes out infront of the rear wheels, and put the mufflers as far back as possible if you want it to be quieter... the old cars had a gas tank in the center at the back and they had dual exhaust.... you can run it out the back no problem

As long as you give the tank enough clearance the termination of the exhaust is no where near as hot as it is before the muffler so genberaly its safe
