th350 kickdown cable adjustment

well i feel like a total dumbass.. all this time i been thinking that my truck was a dog simply because it was over cammed.. well tonight i decided to check to see if i was actually using the secondaries and it turns out i wasnt..seems the guy who owned the truck before me \"detuned \" it so his son could drive it to high school. he did this by shortening the adjustment on the kickdown cable so that the cable ran out of movement before the secondaries could open..i havent messed with a th350 for years and i honestly cant remember what the trick is to adjusting them..can anybody help?

Open the carb up all the way,push on the button on the kickdown cable and you should be all set sir. That\'s all there is to it.
