HOW TO RAISE MY BLOWER STYLE AIR CLEANER?

ALrightt well i got one of those trans dapt blower style air scoop things, problem is its not going out of the hood as much as i would like... ive put a 1 inch spacer under the carb to raise it up... but the only thing is i cant put a air cleaner spacers because there are l brackets that go from the air cleaner and bolt onto the carb? would a picture help? well if you have done anything or know something that might help it would be much appreciated thanks!

How much do you want it to stick out? Here\'s a link to a pic of ours. 1\" Spacer under carb, but we have a 2 1/2\" cowl hood. Looks sharp this way.

yah thats what i want it to look like... do you have a tall manifold? or how did you do it?

ah i c see in some other pictures u have a spcaer on the carb... how did you do that? mine has brackets.... to mount down to the carb?

bikerboy he is talking about a spacer that goes under the carb to raise it up ,the scoop just bolts to carb adapter on the carb

Here\'s another pic. Our\'s is a MR Gasket Street Scoop. Just set it on the carb. Holds down with the threaded rod as old air cleaner does. Set scoop on top of plate, and there are four wing nuts under the scoop that holds it to the adapter. They sell this in a short (Single carb) or Long (dual carb) set up. Check ebay. We bought our\'s from a local swap meet for $40. Great find!!!

yah i have the long versioon! haha for signle carb so it will be interesting mine is trans dapt but pretty much the same thing, i think i will have to do some customizing to make it work thanks for the help!
