My mom has this bravada and she just had the fuel pump unit replaced. and now it will run for awhile and quit. Let it sit for awhile and it will start back up and run again for awhile and quit. It is all black with leather interior. I want to say it is vapor locking but I\'m not sure. I have wooden clothes pins on the fuel lines of the motor but that seems to not be helping any. I need to get this fixed asap cause it is my moms rig. Please help if you can. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

It really sounds like another fuel pump, or a bad connection to it. I\'ve had fuel pumps go out on three different chevy vehicles and they all acted exactly like what you\'re describing.
It\'s not all that uncommon to have parts like fuel pumps to be defective right out of the box. or have mechanics that get something apart and are convinced that the part isn\'t bad and just not change it. Or be like me and be working on a customer vehicle and then have my boss call me off the project to do something else 5 or 6 times before I finish it and I get sidetracked.

Had the same thing happen on my wifes and daugthers both. It\'s probably the fuel pressure regulator. You;ll need a fuel pressure gauge to check and see what kind of pressure you have. Let it build and then see if it bleeds off right away.

What tests have you performed? If the fuel pressure is good when the car dies, then test for spark when the car does NOT start. could be a faulty ignition module.

I agree with Ray. That what it sounds like to me too.

I\'ll have to check that out. Both times it has quit on her she was using the ac so something has gotten hot on it. I\'ll let you guys know what is going on

i\'m just tryin to think since it is black that it will retain heat alot more. A mechanic friend told me that they may have hooked up the wiring backwards. wouldn\'t a pump pump backwards or not run?. This thing is getting screwey already..I always have the good ol solution to it..........small block it.lol

with the awd system, i\'d say big block so that you can thouroughly use all that extra traction. (though that would make for a REAL tight fit)

a friend of mine says he has delt with alot of these and he says it would be the pickup in the dist its got plenty of spark and gas so if it was me i would just let them come and get it and loose money on the deal instead of spending more on it. it is like hte 4 wheel s10 my wife and i have we fix one thing on it and not to far down the road somehting else breaks. nick
