check to make sure your return spring is hooked up with enough tension to pull back the carb arm all the way, also check for obstructions of the arm on objects. Make sure cable works freely.....

Worn out bushing in the throttle shaft will also cause this problem. It will allow air to be sucked in through the throttle arm.

i remember when i installed my last demon carb on the white s-10.the return spring got bent a little out of shape, and the first rev it went to 7grand,but did not come back http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif ,im surprized it still runs, because its just a stock bottom end.leave it off,and play with it.its better to be flooded than blown.

well, yes, when holding the pedal to the floor, it will sometimes \"idle\" a little high. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

i hate when my truck idles high at wide open throttle!!...nah seriously, if you have a holley check the throttle shaft. its prolly warped, or leaking like grim said.
