my chilton manual says my idle speed can\'t be adjusted since i have a tbi, is this true?
there\'s nothing wrong with it, but last week i broke my idle air speed sensor (overtightened), and until i replaced it, it had a real cool sounding, rough, slow idle (though it would die if i didn\'t jab the throttle now and then) that shook the truck and sounded like it had a big engine. now that it\'s fixed, is there a way to make it sound like that again? (without dying of course)
take the vacuum off the map sensor..or break the new idle controller. Id take a smooth idle over an ole nasty idle anyday.

ive heard there is a hidden screw on the tbi somewhere that is covered, but can be punched out to get to the screw?.i read this somewhere, but im not exactly sure where.it may have been on a 4.3 truck im not sure.
its right where you think it would be...looks like a tiny freeze plug.

to get the that little plug out all you need to do is punch it out right? is it a screw or what kind of screw is it or is it not? bc the 4x4 s10 my wife and i have it needs to bwe turned up also it is doing the same excact thing.

well, that\'s how i found out a v6 could actually sound \"cool\", problem was, it would die very quickly. this was very annoying in traffic coming up to a stoplight, because i would have to slam on my brakes, quick jab the throttle so it wouldn\'t die and then slam on the brakes again. sounded mean though. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
