Hello. I bought my 86 blazer and plan to drop in the entire drive line from the 78 impal beater I bought. Will it all just fit in? I plan on using the stock maniflods and pipes..

Thanks.

Not completely certain, but Id say everything will work just fine. The manifolds will be your problem if any come up. Just have to look and see. Good luck.

The manifolds are the top branch ones. they go over the spark plugs and not below them.

The 2 barrel carb should make it good on gas ... I hope

You will have to do some \"massaging\" of the firewall with a hammer, probably move your steering column over a bit and you would be better off getting the exhaust manifold from and 87-90 Camaro or Firebird (the exhaust manifold may even go beyond 1990)

Hey gbrown85, do these later manifolds exit at the back end of the engine instead of the middle? If so, do they drop straight down or at an angle. And if at an angle do they get in the way of the stock oil filter location so it must be re-located?

The passenger side exits in the rear (angled, i had to \"massage\" my floor pan a little), the driver\'s side exits in the middle pretty much straight down but a good exhaust man can clear the cross member. I didn\'t have to do anything to my oil filter.

The manifolds on this motor are the same as the camaro ones except they don\'t have the AIR Injection tubes in each cylinder.

I will massage the floor pan as needed. I want to roll the body seam so it looks nice and smooth. I think that will help clearance the motor also.

Thanks B.

The ones you have will work fine. According to the mounts you use will determine how much massaging the firewall will need.
