I\'ve just installed a oil pump, cam and valve springs. The has a lift of I-.474 E-.510 The spring are rated up to .540. The engine is a 350 with vortec heads. It ran quite before the changes. I\'ve checked the valve adjustment twice. It\'s has a roller cam. Any ideas??

Heh heh.... I wasn\'t thinking of that, but more than one guy has pulled his hair out looking for the \"tick\", and it was the exhaust.
......... The more agressive hyr. rollers do tend to tick some even when all is right. Could be that. Also check rocker to retainer clearance, retainer to guide seal, etc. Heck, even rocker to valve cover can make a tick now & then. could be the rocker slot is being \"bottomed\" out and hitting the rocker stud.
