I have been in the camaro world for awhile and have heard a few mufflers. I know most people run flowmasters but im getting sick of them. I have heard some spintechs on a late model camaro and the sounded good. Has anyone else had any luck with and other muffler similar to the flowmasters or spintech\'s?

my buddy has a 1970 big block camaro with borla muffler\'s on it and let me tell ya...it sound great and he run 10.70\'s ....it\'s hard to bet a flowmaster and the price...boral\'s are high ...you can try dynomax...but ive never heard them...i had hooker aero chambers on my truck at one time and i hated them ..so i put the good 1 chasmber flow master\'s on....

Yeah currently I also have a 1970 pickup with a 305 with some cnc ported heads and what not. I have 3\" flowmaster 2 chambers on it dumped behind the back axle and it sounds good. but theres a vibration period around 1200-1500 RPM and its shakes the hell out of everything. plus cops in my town are lets say out to give ME tickets.

I personally like the borla\'s... in the racing community, alot of guys run them.. but truthfully, its not about the sound... make it quiet, and make people be surprised when you leave them in the dust.. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

I use Dyanmax Ultra Turbo\'s and like them a lot. Not quite, nor are thet too loud. Walk softly and carry a big stick! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Not only that, but I wantde to run mine all the way out the back and these happened to fit the bill. As you can see in my pics they come out all the way in the back.

I had flowmasters on my El Camino and I loved them. They were either the 40 series or the delta force. They were also on dual 3 inch stainless. I plan on putting the same exhaust on the s-10. My brother has dual exhaust with dynomax super turbos on his 400 trans am. It sounds (or sounded--read bad news thread) really good. I\'ve heard super turbos behind a 305 also, and they sounded good.

I havent heard much of any other brands besides borla, flowmaster, and spintechs. Most people prefer eather borla and flowmaster. The borlas are a little pricey. I have heard the hookers are alright but im not sure.

i have hooker mufflers n my truck i tell yas what.. .if you want loud then go for them.. and they sound awesome right aroudn 7000rpm too... but thats not real practical for the average engine... i say keep it quiet i\'mgunna be putting flowtech raptors on my truck to quiet it down... remember it\'s a daily driver.. the super turbos and the raptors sound great also cherry bomb backs a muffler called the vortex it\'s pretty good and from teh cutouts i\'ve seen they shouldf flow decent numbers my uncle has one on his dodge and it\'s pretty quiet too

anyone had any luck with the flowtech afterburner mufflers. I have heard from a friend that has a 71 chevelle with a 383 stroker that they sound good. Hes just got some cheap mufflers on his, but has heard them else where.

i\'d say go with the dynomax superturbo\'s or the flowtech raptors... they are both fairly cheap and sound realy good....

the flowmaster afterburners are a race only muffler i think and they are louder than hell... from what i remmeber... i wouldn\'t waste my money on looud mufflers again... i agree with fasrnur walk softly and carry a big stick
