Do drilled and slotted rotors really help that much? If so, whats a reasonable price to pay for a pair? Would a pair like this work, or are these cheapies?

i know this is off topic but i am glad to see that you kept your truck. that is a very clean sweet little ride you have.

No, they arent worth much unless your frequently heating the rotors to the point of fad. Just normal street driving, I doubt youd see much improvement.
Even then, you\'ll probably warp the rotors due to their smaller size.
Looks, yeah they look a lot better.
A good set of performance pads would be a better investment

i got mine from these guys:
R1Concepts
(http://www.r1concepts.com) they\'re on ebay.
they look like the ones you got pictured. mine cost $130 with shipping, i got em on time.
mine work fine, i\'ve had em for over 6 months now, i did break a lug, don\'t know if that\'s a quality issue or not.
i haven\'t noticed a real performance difference, but i don\'t race my truck either. they look really cool, and the zinc coating is great.
