Id say $2000-2500. You hgave to remember that you have to put probably $1000+ into a paint job still. Plus a 283ci is barely bigger than a 262ci (4.3L). And youll eventually swap it out for a 350ci+....

At least thats what you can use to bargain with the seller. Remember, all that stuff you listed holds little to no value for the sale. I had $12,000 in reciepts for my truck and was extremely lucky to get $6000 for it.

Go get what you want, but dont pay too much if you dont have to http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks Sweet. I was thinking about that also. I have a friend that will paint it really cheap if I buy the paint. I also have a 350 in the garage that needs rebuild but that would eventually go in.

I have to agree w/sweet. Just make sure to look it over pretty good. You might see some stuff that wasn\'t done properly. Or worse, safely.

Just remember, the stuff you find to bargin the price down, chances are the seller already nows about. Either he\'s already discounted the price for the repairs or he added the price for the repairs into the asking price because he knew he\'d get beat-up on price.

Basicly taking to him you should be able to figure this out with out asking. Just keep him talking about it. I\'ve bought cars for pennys as the owner kept knocking the price down \'cause he kept rattleing on about the cars problems.

The story: I bought a mustang convertable w/ new top. The tranny sliped. Just add fluid. needed a gasket. The guy brought the car to a tranny shop that wanted to rebuild the tranny. Bu the time the guy was done with his story telling, the asking price of $2000 went to 650. All I had on me was 500. I drove the car home!!!!

Just let him talk, sometimes its worth it weight in $$$

Sorry so long, but you\'ll get the point!

Space.
