Working in a junk yard gives me the option to take fuel as I need. The down side to this is you have no idea what you are getting. My dailey driver is a 89 1500 2wd with lite mods to the engine and it dont like 87. 89 or higher make it happy but forget about 87, makes the valves ping like a *.

Anyhow we got a 2006 just a few months old dodge dakota nailed in the right side with a full tank of gas.

My 1500 has a 30 gal tank so I took all of the dodges fuel about 25 gallons.

I work about 2 miles away from home and will take about 2 months to drive a full tank of fuel out of my 1500, should I pump it out for the yard tractor \"enough for the year\" or grin and bare the pinging?

a bottle of green rubbing alcohol has always cleared up a water in the fuel problem for me.

I was thinking about booster but didn\'t know if it would work. I\'ll give it a try.

I WORK IN A SCRAP YARD AND THE FIRST RULE IS NEVER TAKE GAS FROM THERE, WE HAVE FILTER SYSTEM AT OURS BUT YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PEOPLE PUT IN IT, I WOULD SAY BITE THE BULLET AND DRAIN IT, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IS IN IT. I WOULD DEFINATELY SAY DRAIN IT.

went fishing last night and used up over half a tank, i didn\'t put any booster in it but it ran fine. I just didn\'t get on it at all. If i go fishing today it might take up near the rest.

I pull at least 4 tanks a day and not in the mood to do it to my own truck lol.

You\'ll never know what your gonna get. If its just some water issues add dry gas. If necassry adjust the timing a little. That way you can run cheap gas all the time.

We had gotten in a diesal van w/40 gal tank. The guy filled it with 37 gals of super unleaded.

What would you do????????????

Yup...me too... I filled my car til the gas ran out. I figured that the since gas is lighter than the oil that it would sit on the bottom. Well I was mostly right. We got about 2gals of diesal out.And put the other 37 gals in to 3 vehicles. The first truck ran fine, Then my car. ran ok. but it smelled like diesal. When I got on it it would ping and bellowed black sooty stinky exhaust. Can\'t blast down the boulevard in a slick 68 firebird belowing smoke!!!!

As for the last truck, it barely ran. Pinged quite bad. But the kid kept topping off the tank w/super to try to lessen the effect.

Basicly thats the last time I do that!!!

Or is it???? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif Time will tell.
