your finger will work....... lol, i just used some self-tapping/drilling sheemetal screws on a 2.8..... but be forewarned, they could come outta there like seabuscuit if you dont use the right ones......

I used 1/4\" pipe plugs.

sounds like maybe just any 1/4 inch plug might work, within reason ya know.

you can get the pipe plugs at the home despot. id go with them over anything else. you dont wanna put nothin long in there. did you get the AIR tubes off yet? if they been on there a while then be fully prepared to take the fire wrench to em to get em out.
for some reason i remember mine being bigger than 1/4\". either take the whole manifold with you or take one of the fittings when you go to get the parts. that way you can be sure you got the right ones.
lt1 manifolds? or standard SBC manifolds?

yea i got em off. Their off a 87 camaro TBI 350. wouldnt come off with a wrench, so i used vice grips and they bent out of shape and came right out.

you sir, are a lucky bastard. i took 2 of em out on mine and they broke. i ended up takin the other 6 out and cleaning up the rest of the mess i made with the fire wrench.
why manifolds? why not go for headers?

Well i was actually a couple of days away from ordering the headers, but a found myself at a boneyard looking for A/C compressor bolts and alternator bolts. While walking through i came upon a row of about 23 camaro/firebird 82-93. so i started looking through them and found the manifolds that i have read about. they only wanted $40 for both so i though what the hey. Wont have to take of the steering box, cheaper, less underhood heat. Luckily i found two sets inside the cars already taken off, so i didn\'t have to sit there for 30 minutes unbolting everything. Why did you decide manifolds?
