Ok, im doing an LS1 swap into my Sonoma GT and i have decided that th auto will be wauy to boring and have decideed that a 6 speed manual is the only way to go, but i was wondering if the ZF6 speed from the mid 90\'s vette would be a better choice over the T56, it sure is alot cheaper these days. or would the t56 be the better choice, the rest of the drivetrain will be the same with 4.10 gears in a detroit locker inside a mopar 8 3/4 rear end.

LMK what some of you think.

Thanks

the zf tranny is a loud rattling cuss, and if you break something in it you will have to send it out of the US to get it repaired, stay with the T56 its a better tranny and if somthing breaks in it you can go to t56 rebuilds in houston.you dont have any pics yet?Humble is a small town we may know the same people http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah i was thinking the T-56 was a better choice, and yes T56rebuilds is right here about 30 minutes from me, so im good there.

I scored a deal off ebay for a 20K mile viper t-56 for 600 bucks, just need to change the front adaptor plate and input shaft to an LSi style and its good to go and rated to 550 ft lbs.

Thanks for the reply.

And i have some pics at www.h-a-s-t-e.com, cl;ick on gallery and then go to mine which is HotRodV6. Enjoy
