How many people on here have a LT1 in thier S10 i know i do but it is EFI and i am kind of fed up with it and i want to change it over to a carb setup but i would like to talk to a few people who may have had already done it to get the pros and cons of keeping the EFI nad the carb. Also i am going to be working on the rear and need some info about what would be a good setup for me i am running a sticky tire and a t350 tranny. Someone anyone please help me out i want to get this truck done and fast

IMO i would stick with the F.I. tune ability is soooo much eiasier. may cost a little more with the ECM tuning but you can get more fuel effeciant power from the F.I. than a carb. as far as the rear?? that depends on what you will do with the truck. 300-400hp on the street with some track use i would just beef up the rear with a good posi and a set of 3.73 gears. if its all track then a 12 bolt or 9 inch for sure.

PHR magazine did a write up in 1991 using a 69 camaro and a 91 z28 both using the zz4 crate engine:
\'69 camaro,zz4,longtube headers,flomaster ex.system,muncie 4spd,4.10 gears,slicks,traction bars and subframes.3360lbs......
\'91 z28,zz4,shortie headers,dual cat single ex.fomaster catback,2400stall,all edelbrock tpi set up,24lb inj.,3.23 gears,slicks,LPE chip.3680lbs
the results were
\'69 ran a 12.20@114 (12.86@105) so hell yeah i love fuel injection its here to stay, expensive but well worth it in my book! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Is your truck driveable? What are you fed up with? If you hooked everything up right it should be just as reliable as stock. I could see a problem if you have a t350 and an ecm programmed for a 4l60e and vats still installed.
