if anyone has completed a swap to a carbed engine and used the existing wiring from an S10 in the 90-93 range, i would like a diagram of what wiring stayed and what went if possible. maybe someone that’s done this could contribute something like this to the site...

keep the starter ,dist ,alt, the rest of the \"engine\" harness can be cut be sure not to cut wipers and healight ect, just take your time and dont cut it if your not sure
best to do this after the enigne is in and running if you are unsure

Since I don\'t drive mine often I even cut the wiper wires. But I saved the plug and just plug them in if I happen to get caught in the crap.

first off get the manual for the wiring on your truck that\'ll really help also if you can remove the harness from the engine bay mark were everything goes and then remove the sheathing on the harness checkk all the wires for there age because now is a good time to replace any if there rotten now track all the wires comming back from the pcm any such as o2 sensor can be removed find yourself a couple of good ignition source wire that go back to the fuse box make sure they have a high enough rated output for your coil/dist and that they are off with the ignition off usualy they\'ll be pink. orange is a battery feed. you\'ll note the start wire comes from a relay on the fuse panel leave that alone its fine. now that your done resheath all the wires use some weather proofing tape make it look pretty and put it back into the engine bay hook all the plugs back up and start.

all i did was went to the wreckers and traded them my fuel injected harness for an older carbed harness... then plugged it in and then it had all the wires i needed... if your willing to trade them for fuel injected harness i doubt they will cfharge you anything at all... at least none of the ones around here would...
