I run two 16\" fans and have them set to come on at 200f for my 383 stroker. at highway it runs 180F in traffic or idle it\'ll max out at 200 then the fans bring the temp down to 190 and shut off.

i have a 350 and my truck ran really hot with a 17 inch flex fan. i have a griffan race radiator, and a 160 thermostat with a high volume water pump. with the flex fan and a shroud it would run at 180 while driving, and then heat up to over 200. i would strongly advise getting a race steel fan, with the highest pitch blade you can get, thats what i did, and eversince it runs cool and stays cool!

I would stay away from those flex fans, they are very dangerous. I saw many off them break apart and do major damage..

I couldn\'t keep mine cool with a mechanical fan. Stock, clutch, or flex fan. It would raise in traffic very quick.
Im using the 4.3 radiator and flexolite #210 electric fans. Stays at 185

i run a 16\" plastic flex-a-lite flex fan they are designed to pull more air at low rpm\'s and only weigh 8oz\'s, i had one break cuz i put my hand in it (ouch) it is rated to 8000rpm i spin my motor to 7000 and i have no problems with it, i run a 4.3 rad and a stock long water pump it runs 190 all day long with a balanced 355 running 400+hp with edelbrock e-tec-200\'s

190 even on the highway? I get 170-180 when moving and gets upto 210 when sitting still only because the electric fan is set to come on at that temp.

mine runs 210 in traffic and about 190 on the highway, it hit 230 in the staging lanes at the track before i shut it off. All i have is the modine radiator and a 14\'\' flex fan. i made my own fan shroud and it dropped about 20 degrees, but it still runs to hot. I\'m gonna add an electric fan as a pusher and see how that works. And its a 355 about 380hp.
