A friend told me that the vortex has better flow then most aftermarket mufflers so I got one with a 3 1/2\" in and two 3\" Out and replaced my highflow with it the sounds more rich and I swear Ive gained another 10 horses... just a note on another muffler option only cost me 163$ canadian too.. and yes my two manifolds have 3 inch collectors and come together in a single 3 1/2\" pipe <grins>
I found this to be the best setup for a 383 Cubed motor and up.. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah totaly I had a lot more people turning there heads and looking at my truck and its not that its loud its just that sound it makes it gives your truck a really big block sound and when you hammer it its just heavenly http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

o and i almost forgot, the only reason that i got them over the blowmaster (flowmaster) is cause i have heard that the insides of the \"blomasters\" rust out, and then they are junk. the vortex is a much better muffler, i also have one on my bros 86 4x4 350 blazer, he has two 2.5 inch into one muffler then out with one 3 inch. i think that his might sound better than mine, its a really deap sound.
Is vortex the company that makes these mufflers? All prejudices aside, do you think that the perform and sound better than flowmasters do? And you\'re saying that they\'re pretty quiet at an idle, but when you nail the throttle they get really loud? This sounds like a good choice.

I like flowmaster aswell Ive ran a few vehicles with them but I haven;\'t seen anything this good for awhile the muffler keeps things nice and quite for around neigborhood driving but as soon as you give it a little gas and get up there it sounbds good a friend told me he though there was an old SS outside his door lol
Im pleased and it even has a nice v8 gurgle that most mufflers distort out to the point it sounds a little like an over powered ricer...

theyare made by cherry bomb... they are a fuly aluminized case on them and they have two v shaped baffles in them with a basically strait through desighn with some special ceramic [packing on the sides of the pass tubes to quiet it down... even at half throttle they are still pretty quit and they don\'t get REALLY LOUD they just give it a nice deep throaty sound... i really like the sound of them and they\'re a little cheaper than the flowmasters
