On the upper control arm, im missing the rubber piece that pulls through the control arm and it hangs about an inch or two below the control arm. I know this sounds confusing, but is this a \"front bump stop\". If you are looking at the top of the control arm you can see a slot where its missing, it pushes in from inside. Hopefully someone can understand what im trying to describe.. Are these necessary to have?

Well it is and isn\'t. It works when the suspension is at full droop. The one on the lower control arm is for when the suspension is compressed . I have tubular upper control arms on my 82 and they dont have such a bumper. Don\'t really need them!
: image will open in new window
