Ignition

I do not know much about ignition, and i am wondering what performance ignition i can use on an 85 s-10 which originally came with the 2.8 v6. I have reason to believe that my ignition is to blame for the 14 mpg i get mostly highway, with a carbed 305 and overdrive transmission.

Get yourself an HEI distributor the cab and coil are built into one then get a good set of plugs & wires make sure there gapped right and a set to engine factory specs also get electrolyte goop and put it on all the contact points between the wires and the spark plugs to guarantee full load.

get an msd distributor, msd 6a msd blaster 2 coil and msd spiro pro 8.5mm wires, i just got that setup for xmas, huge difference. def worth the money
