My brother finally got his 557 ci hatchback mustang done, so we took it over to bradenton speedway. First run he left the hole a 3K and short shifted @ 4500 rpms into second (pg in a ford) and he ran 10.05 @ 136. I was suprised since this thing shifts at 7200. Second run out he used the transbrake and left 5 grand and ran 9.90 with a 1.41 60 foot. This is first time he ran this car through a set of dynamax mufflers, next time open exhaust and a couple of other minor tweaks, were hoping 9.60. Then hes going to spray 200 out of the hole, gotta love big blocks..

I don\'t care what kind of car it is...... you have to respect a car that runs below a 10.0 quater mile.

pump gas, with tail lights, seats, insurance, etc. i dont know how he got insurance with a car that has a roll cage. you have to love insurance comp. that give you insurance w/o looking at the car
kickin ass with pump gas thats what im talking about!!

not to take anything away from the chevys..but for years the chevy big motors have ruled the track and street...but the last few years have changed..even the chevy haters have to give credit to the monster 557 ci fords..i seen seveal that only turn 5500 and run 9;s..there is just so much motor..simialr to the 540 motors of chevy..even a lot of the ford have the chevy exhaust patteren...if it was not for the distrbutor being up front..you could;t tell one from the other...till the ford guys says hey..thats a ford not a chevy

i cant wait until he gets his two stage nitrous hooked up. its sweet, 9 in rear, coil overs for the rear, the head bolt studs are riduculous, aluminum rods, etc. im am far from a ford man, but i laughed my ass off when the car ran 10.06 on its first run leaving the hole at 3500 rpms. the plugs were a little fouled on the first run. the next motor in my s10 is going to be 454 small block
