The 307 is a bit stronger tan the 305. Not much, but a little. t has a bigger bore and shorter stroke. I have had 307\'s built like 350\'s that would give a 350 a good run for the money!

I found one on ebay @ 100 miles from me. I asked the owner some questions and he said his \"...spare time is to precious to spend fooling around like that\"

If he had taken the time to look at the codes I would have bid on it. That is... if the dates & codes were what I was looking for.

so in other words the 307 is a runner then i did everything that i could do to it with out putting out to much money i only paid 160 for it that came with everything from pulleys to pan. the guy i bought it from said it ran just running way to rich well smart thing i took the pan off it and found a pile of shavings in the pan there was 10 out of 16 lobes that was flat so in other words i replaced everything in it the block had no ridge in it the pistons looked good supprisingly so i got a crank from a friend which was a steel crank. about 400 $ later it runs again just really good. ok that is the story on the motor. nick

i had one but i started the 10 second build of my truck... gutted it i still have it laying in the garage... it was a tough little guy a lot of low end torque nothing upper though i had a 600 cfm mild cam and a low rise edelbrock with hed man headers. the biggest thing about the 307 is running clearance only allows cams with a weak .450 lift.... which is not enough to breath like a 350.
