quick question. In entering in flow chart figures onto desktop dyno for different heads, how do you determine the drop in H20 and the size of the pipe?

I did have the numbers on the default setting of 1.0 H20, I noticed that the flow chart data is with 28 H20. But when I changed different heads to those numbers with that drop, (heads, 186, 461, vortec) all of the numbers on the dyno were exactly the same even with different flows.

But when changed back to 1 H20, the dyno numbers changed for each head. What am I doing wrong?

I don\'t have this software, but 28 inches of water column is a standard pressure for flow testing. it\'s actually the difference in pressure between atmosphere and the test. you need pressure in the test to factor in the airflow hitting the valves at different lifts. one inch column sounds like a test without valves and doesn\'t mean much.

thats what I thought, but for some reason when I change it to 28, even for different heads with very different flow numbers, the dyno results remain exactly the same when I swap heads on a particular engine setup. And yes Auto Run is on.

Maybe later tonight, I will try to erase all the values and re enter them to see if that helps anything.
