i decided to go with the 98 350 vortec. the truck is for my son. he lost it but has done 100% better in the last 2 months or so so we are going to try this again. i have 2 98 3/4 ton chevys both with 350 vortecs in them, and 4L80E transmissions. one is a 2wd ex cab and the other is a 4x4 ex cab. the 2wd runs and drives great but has no A/C the 4x4 has a bad motor (i smoked it about 2 weeks ago) but every thing else and i mean EVERYTHING else works great. even the A/C. so with everything that i have do you guys think i can use the stock harness and all? the s10 is stripped. so i am rewiring the whole truck. just like to get some suggestions and ideas.

I would put the good motor in the 4x4 and rebuild the other and use the harness and all from the 2wd........what you can use anyways and put the S10 together.

i dont want the 4x4 or the 2wd. just bought them for the S10 swap. i will just sell off all the extra parts to make my money back. hell i only paid $600 for both trucks and $200 for the S10. when i am done with this one i am going to take about 6-8K and finish my blazer the way i wanted.

I have a suggestion, label everything, make notes and some wiring drawings, heck snap pictures with your digital camera and print them off. try and lay it all out on the floor and then weed out the wiring that you don\'t need. organize your wiring keep everything neat and it will go alot smoother, you will actually enjoy going EFI, i did.
