Geez, you must really hate that old cam, that you\'ve got to get it out NOW! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

........ But seriously, I\'d wait until you\'ve got the new cam. Who knows, by springtime you could have a family of mice living in the engine. And, just as important, you\'ve got to store all the loose bolts, misc. parts, etc. And not to mention that the average Joe might not recall exactly which bolts were used with what a few months from now. And in a few months time, somehow, some way, something will get jammed into the radiator while it\'s laying in the bed.http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif My engine sits low, so I even had to pull my bumper to change the cam. So that\'s a lot of stuff to be lying around loose.

.......... So yeah, I\'d wait.

Yea the cam is way to big for my setup. My dad said tear apart now so we just have to put in and put it back together soon as i get the cam and lifters. Thiers a shop down the road said the change it for 250 but i dont if they would break the cam right or not. The guy is good on motors used to have his own speed shop.

i would wait on the change. the cam isnt that much unless you are going with a roller but me personly i would wait to change it some one could use the parts more then you can also that is another reason to wait. nick

You could use a drill to prime the oil flow before starting it. I live in Columbus and one thing for sure, the weather isn\'t a problem.I have been working on my S10 alot with the 20 deg.above normal temps. so far this winter, crazy weather!
