I was woundering if anybody out there has ever narrowed a 7.5\" rear. I would sure like some info on it and pics. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

IMO if you spend the money for the narrowing and custom axles, upgrade to a larger ring gear based rearend may be worth it. Sorry no narrowed 7.5 here.

look for a 9\" rear out of a 70\'s torino that has a tapered housing where the tubes meet the center section. you can pick one up for $150 and send the axles out to be shortened (for street use anyway).

I agree if you\'re spending time and money go with the 9\" ford. The 7.5 just won\'t handle a bunch of torque. If you can find an 8.5 chevy rear it cost about the same to do as a ford 9\". Just make sure you use C clip eliminators an that chevy rear.
