It all depends what you are looking to do and your budget. street truck, street/race, race? Need a little more details to really help. Where are you in n.j.? If I do another one, it will be an ls1 with a t56.

I want to do a street truck/ daily driver primarily, but also be able to take it to the track.

a 350 or a 383. you can pull 450 - 500 horse out of a 383 with relatively little trouble.

Will I have to chage the trans or rear end?

Your best bet would be to buy the conversion manual . You can get it here. It will help you figure out what your options are. What trans and motor do you currently have? Alot of people use the stock rears with no problems, and others grenade them in a matter of months. I guess its all in the luck of the draw!
