1/4 tells what you are really made of.

I have a 93 s-10 2.8 5spd. went to the local track, with 275/40/17\'s ran a best of 10:56 i hope to go mid to low 8\'s after the lt1 swap.

most people go with quarter mile times so if you want to realy get a good comparison to someone elses ride, thats the way to go. Ive never ran it, but im guessing my stock \'97 2.2 liter s-10 will run about a 20 second or so.

After the lt1 you would probably be able to go a mid-high 8 in the 1/8. Of course depending on traction.

Low 8\'s should be about a mid 12 in the 1/4 right? An LT1 won\'t run that quick stock.

A mid-high 8 should be about a 13.5-13.9 depending on traction ,elevation and of course weather. For example, my buddies 2002 camaro runs a 8.3x or so 1/8 and he runs 13.0-13.4
I think an Lt1 that was set up good in one of these trucks might be able to pull that off at a lower elevation. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif You never know

Stock LT1 in a standard cab truck should run around 13.5\'s Thats decent traction. At least thats what I\'ve found.

no man i was running on the 1/8mile a 11.50 with my 2.8l V6 ,this year i drove a 15.0 on the 1/4 mile with a 350cui and a th700r4 tranny in the truck.but i still have the original axle and that run was with them original 195/40R15 tires on the track so there was no no traction. But this winter i drop a 12bolt rear end in and a powerglide transmission. So i should run next year in the 13second range on the 1/4mile.
Keep Cruising

why the hell would you go to a slip and slide from a 700r???? there\'s something wrong with that picture... you\'llhave much better gearing and way better drivability with the 700r just leave the friggin thing in

Hell i\'d do it, but i have had no luck with the 700r maybe thats why.

LoL, drag racing and a 2.8v6. Hmmmmm lets see. I could beat most hondas....so I\'m guessing high 16s in the 1/4. first and second gear is good in the 700R4, but 3rd drops ur rpms too much to keep it going....

maybe if you build a proper 700r and have the kickdown cable set properly and also don\'t shift a 700r manually unless you have manual valvebody because they don\'t shift properly and it causes premature wear on the trans... i have a 700r with the b&m trans pack (complete rebuild kit) and a 2500 stall and haven\'t had a single problem with it i have the kickdown cable set so it shifts at about 6200rpm every time in overdrive and just leave it there all the time... works great plus my truck only runs about 1900rpm at 110km/h and thats with a 2500 stall..... check around and see who build good 700r\'s ask people at the track who built theirs and ask them if they\'ve had any problems they aren;t the easiest tranny to build, they have about a gazilion parts compared to th350\'s but if you live in germany stick with the 700r with a set of 3:73\'s and cruise on the autobahn at like 150mph!!! lets see ya do that with a powerglide
