ok im 17 and im pretty new at this stuff but im building an s10 n im wondering how a gov lock works and wat is a good price to pay for one?

from what i understand it works with cyntrifical weights. it senses torque spins the weights into place and a spring loaded arm locks it in place. when the load is taken from the rear the weights swing back and releases the arm. (thats in my words) not a quote that is the basic senerio. as far as price i am guessing you mean used? if so just stay away from it and get a limited slip rear. it has clutch packs. much more reliable and rebuildable in the future. you can get both used off ebay for around $75-$250
