I\'m pulling the 350 out of my \'91 S-10 and putting in a 383 with Pro Comp aluminum straight plug heads. The Hedman shorties I have on the 350 fit fine, but I need 1 3/4 primaries for the 383. Anybody know of an under-chassis 1 3/4\" header that will work? I have 2\" drop front spindles, but I don\'t thimk that matters on the under-chassis header. Somebody work some magic for me. Thanks.

Goodluck. Nobody I know makes 1 3/4\" longtubes, or any that fit worth a *.

Hey Othcustoms: Tell me more. Any clearance problems? Did they just bolt up with no problems at all? Are you running a full exhaust system behind the headers? Give me all the detail you can- I\'d really appreciate it.

i had to have mine modified and they are angled plugs. my heads have raised exhaust ports though... if you check the foot notes on those headers it states that they can be used with angled plugs

i use the fenderwell headers and you can get them in 1 3/4. I run the 1 5/8-1 3/4 stepped headers. they fit fine with angled plug heads. I would only use this is your doing more racing then street driving.

Thanks all- there\'s nothing like knowing that someone actually has a particular part installed and that it works! I\'ll check with Hedman to make sure the Hustlers will work with my Pro Comp straight plug heads.

I dont think anyone will tell you that they will fit definately. If you can cram a v8 into a truck that was not originally designed for it im sure you can overcome the short comings of some headers that dont quite fit right. hedman has some under chassis exit 1 3/4 headers in there husler line. I ran them a couple years ago. Did they fit right. NO. I called husler and told them they didnt fit my application right to help them out and they sent me a box of tubing to remake the one tube that was hitting. Not a big deal.

my hooker super comps fit well they were just a * to get in, they drop all the way down along the trans then i have exhaust that runs rite to my rear axel then drops down. 1 tube wraps the steering shaft. all in all i think they are the best street and strip application. it all depends what u are using the truck for. if its a trck only i would go w/ the hustler fenderwell. i use my truck on the street alot for local shows so turning radius is a major plus for me.

Thanks to all of you for your responses. I\'m gonna wait a few more days and see if there are any other comments that might help.

The hedmans are about 500 bux for 1 3/4 from jegs already assembled. The part # is 502-65849

I also have the Hedman Husler Headers. I have pics of them installed. The fitment was perfect. It says to use Trans Dapt Brand Mounts so i switched my stealth mounts to avoid problems. Only thing that i had to do is remove brake booster (was going to anyway) and get the flange plates ported out to the size of my exhaust ports.

Im also running full exhaust with my fenderwell headers. My exhaust man cut the collector in half, cut some 90 degree 3\" bends and ran the exhaust under the frame and it runs back to the back like normal. Pricey yet its done right!
