Has anybody used the automatic fan switch offered from the parts store here FLX-31147. I\'m looking for solutions for wiring my tarus fan. Will I not need another relay since the fan switch has a built in relay? If anyone has used this setup for their electric fan I would appreciate any insight. Thanks.

No the switch should be direct hookup it is designed to drive the fan directly afterall. am I right mike?

A relay is always a good investment. Why even risk burning up a $30 dollar switch when a $2 relay could of saved it. I would use a relay regardless.

I used a relay from an Omni and a coolant temp switch from a GM. Wired the relay so the when the coolant temp sensor opened/closed it grounds the relay and turns the fan on. With this you never have to turn a toggle switdh on or off. The fan runs even after shutting off the ignition switch. It runs until the engine has cooled to the correct temp.

Thats how I did one, and it worked great.

I used a ford cylinoid that I mounted by my radiator as my relay and control it with a 2 dollar toggle switch. Has been working fine for 6 months or so.
