Has anyone else had trouble keep the flange bolt tight on hedman shortys? If you fixxed it what did you do, I have tried lock tight and putting two nuts back to back and there still working there way back off.

I cut an inchout from in between my pipes on the flange and never had a problem since then. little bit more to get the bolts in but better than tightening them every other day.

Are you talking about the head flange or the collector flange? I only ask because I am trying to picture how you put 2 nuts back to back on the flange that bolts to the head, unless you are using studs??.

Are you using the copper gaskets? I had problems with them. I got some mr gasket ultra seal and no more problems.

It\'s from the flex in the mounts. Some where not to far back from the flanges, put in a couple (one on each side) of those flex joints. That will take up the movement, and then you can use some good copper gaskets and they\'ll work great. Same goes if your using those \"ball and socket\" type collectors. (Hedmans)
