i have the sticker out of a dash from a 4x4 blazer that was given to me today. the blazer is junk completely rusted out. but the drive train is in awsome shape. the code for the rear is H04 which i found to be a 4.11 gear but it says single speed axle?? what is that? there is also a G code that is GMC but i cant find this anywhere? is this rear a posi?

single speed axle means just that. 1 speed, in your case its 4.11. versus a 2 speed axle like you would find in a dump truck. low speed and high speed. if its posi itll more than likely say G80. thats GM\'s code for posi and its pretty much universal from what ive seen. GMC : PLANT CODE PONTIAC, MI, USA

page wont open? but isnt all rears in regular everyday cars and trucks single speed? there is no G80 code but the guy said that in 4 low or 4 high all 4 wheels would dig in. he doesnt know anything about autos so i dont think he is trying to sell me on the fact that its a posi but he does want it out of his yard. there is a GMC code that i cant fine?

lets see. i have a 91 s10 truck. LOL a 86 blazer but not for long a 2000 blazer, now gonna be a 87 4x4 blazer and i am looking at an 88 s10 blazer in pristine condition. in and out. black with red interior. inside looks brand new!! 2.8 with a 5 speed. needs alt. to run but could use a windsheild as well and A/C doesnt work. but it almost looks show room. i just dont have the $1000 for it right now. i can always sell you 91 back to you?? i left the 82 s10 truck in kentucky. i decided to just get the motor/trans i have no more room for yet another truck. i should have bought a house out in the country. LOL
