87 firebird exhaust manifold

well i finally found a manifold for the truck and wouldnt you know it, i get all the way home and realize i bought a mildly expensive paper weight, i have a \'78 350 block with stock \'78 heads of course its the drivers side and of course its gonna interfere with my valve covers.



anybody have an 86 or older manifold they want to trade or let go on the cheap, hell even if you have one for sale i\'ll just send you mine as a thank you lol

You have a problem that I also found. The dipstick is also behind the manifold. The only way I found around it was to use headers.

i actually have a set of stock truck manifolds that dont have the dipstick problem except the drivers side dumps out about 2 inches directly above the crossmember. i was looking at some for an 80\'s g-20 van they seem like both sides exit towards the firewall and dont present the dipstick problem.
