I was looking around one day and I saw a fuel cooler in a catalog. I was just wondering if anyone knew if these helped very much or if anyone has used one and what kind of gains it had.

cool cans cool the fuel and makes it more dense, which in turn burns better. On a street car i don\'t think it would make a big difference. it would probaly work on a V8 S10 because they generate alot of under hood heat.

i dunno but i\'m sure cooler gas rather than warm gas would maybe make a couple more horse power, who knows?!!

I\'ve custom built a few for guys at my shop and they have worked well. I used pvc pipe with caps on the end a drain on the bottom along with the oulet. I ran the fuel in next to the top on the side and coiled the line inside. I used 1/2\" so no restriction. Works well at the track and seemed to stay cooler than the 100.00 store boughten ones. I painted them black and put out machine shop sticker on them. Not a bad way to pick up some hp for the 50.00 we charged for them.
