Hey guys,

Just bought an 02 S10 (read my other post if you want details) and I\'ve got a question. If I take a sharp turn hard or hit a good bump I\'ve noticed a crack noise coming from the front end, either side. My brother had a 2nd gen Blazer and a 2nd gen S10 and said he had the same problem. Said the dealership never could find anything wrong with either of them and looked at him like he was nuts. Then when he had it into Pep Boys for an alignment, they told him the control arm bushings weren\'t torqued down properly, and that they see that all the time on these trucks. After that he never had the problem again. If it\'s decent out this weekend, I\'m going to pop the wheels off and have a look at this, I\'m just curious if anyone can tell me what they should be torqued to? Its an 02 with 4.3 and 4x4 if that makes any difference. Anything else I should look for while I\'m down there? I\'ve never known much about suspension. It does sound to me like that could be the problem though, because I haven\'t noticed anything else except that noise, the thing drives straight and all.

I think the haynes manual will have the specs, and or the autoparts store.

Here is a PDF file that has some torque specs on it, scroll all the way down to the bottom of it.

The PDF (http://skinnykid.org/truck/lowering_instructions.pdf)

Hope that helps some!
